Peoria recreation center pauses operations due to water main break

The Landmark Recreation Center, 3225 N. Dries Lane in Peoria, is temporarily closed due to water main repairs.

The Landmark Recreation Center has temporarily halted operations to address water line issues. Currently, the plan is to reopen the center – situated at 3225 N. Dries Lane in Peoria – on April 10.

Landmark Recreation Center initially shared news of an emergency closure on April 3. A subsequent Facebook post noted that a water main break had affected Dries Lane and the recreation center’s parking lot. The announcement said, "We have repairs scheduled for Thursday, April 4th."

Posts from various businesses, such as Retro Replay Arcade, and Landmark indicated plans to reopen the building on Friday, April 5. The following day, the center announced it would be closed again “due to continued water line issues.”

The most recent Facebook update noted: "We will remain closed Tuesday, April 9th as further inspection and repairs are needed. We are planning to reopen Wednesday, April 10th."
